Any new built Heyphones, Nicolas?
Hello,
the last attempt to build heyphones I found here was 2007 (by iw3igc).
I would like to know whether anybody else has built successfully any heyphones in the last few years. If yes, could he work with the scanned TIFF files or were the layouts recreated with good gerber data? Are the components still available (or at least suitable replacement parts, especially for these TOKO coils)?
I'm interested to build a set of two or three Heyphones or similar systems. I've heard rumours about a new "Hey" system with about 37 kHz and also about a new Nicola Mk III in development.
Best regards
Matthias
PS.: Is it customary for new members to introduce themselves here or in a better location in this forum?

Hi Mattias, there is no need to introduce yourself. Although if want to, use whichever section you are most comfortable with.MatthiasM wrote:Hello,

I can't help you with your query, but I'm sure Mr Gibson will be along soon.

Heyphone
Hi, I see this thread is quite old and the Heyphone is no longer the latest thing and no longer supported.
A few years ago I bought the Heyphone pcb's. Due to work, family etc I shelved the project.
Now have more time and I find I have most of the parts needed.
Just looking around for a few of the components that I am missing.
I guess this set will have vintage status by the time I get it finished!

Just because it is old doesn't mean it of no use.
We still drag the MRO's Grunterphone out every now and then for radio location work.
The Grunterphone is the one before the Molephone before the Hayphone before the Nichola!

... and I still use Microsoft Word 97 for preference over later versions. (Which I *do* have installed, so its not like I wont pay for them or anything like that. W97 is just "better")
And my schematic capture software, which I use for drawing circuits and creating PCB net lists runs under DOS and is over 25 years old.
