BCA Training Scheme
I have been asked by an outdoor pursuits provider to make a representation to BCA regarding the Local Cave Leader Scheme. It appears that despite making approaches to five trainer/assessors attempts to progress Level 2 assessment in the Mendip region have stalled.

I happened to bump into John Crowsley on saturday (06-05-06) where he was carrying out a level 2 assesment in Hunters Hole, and told him of your problem. He stated that there were only a few trainer / assesors for level two in the area and he also said that no one had approached him for assesment. I would suggest that you give his contact details to the outdoor persuits provider
He can be contacted via the BCA web site at
