The December council meeting was rearranged for January as we had a number of meetings close together
BCRA AGM
This was a very successful meeting with the following key messages from the chair
• A big ‘thank-you’ to all those who have contributed to the work of BCRA in 2023
• Our Golden Anniversary year has been a pretty good one thus far but there is a lot more that BCRA could do if we had the volunteers to help us.
For example:
• How about volunteering to organise a field meeting
• Or volunteering to organise an indoor event
• We also have ongoing need for assistance with publicity and with IT / web matters
BCRA Review
The ‘BCRA Annual Review for 2022’ is now available as a free download. The Review includes field meeting reports, officers' annual reports and a copy of our annual "Report and Accounts" to the Charity Commission.
BCRA Science Symposium The 34th BCRA Cave Science Symposium held on the21st October was highly successful with a range of speakers and interesting presentations covering a wide spectrum of topics. A big thank you goes to Simon Bottrell and Leeds University for hosting the event. Thanks also to Phil Murphy for arranging and hosting the field trip to Gillfield mine the following day.
