Information and Call for Abstracts

The British Cave Research Association is pleased to announce details of the Annual Cave Science Symposium. The Symposium will be hosted by Dr. Beth Fox and Jo White, on Saturday 27th November, 2021, subject to Covid-19 restrictions. This event will also be available online via. Zoom for both presenters and viewers. A programme of presentations is being assembled that will be of interest to anyone wishing to know more about the underground environment. Further details will follow.
B+B style accommodation is available locally in Hulland Ward, and caving hut accommodation is available at Orpheus Caving Club approx. 30 mins drive away. We hope to arrange a pub meal on the Saturday evening. We also plan to hold a field meeting or meetings on Sunday 28th November. One option under consideration will cover sites in Dove Dale (including a visit to the British Caving Library at Glutton) and the second is a visit to the British cave Science Centre at Poole’s Cavern in Buxton. Call for Abstracts
Abstracts are welcome for posters or oral presentations on any topic of cave or karst-based research, and these should be submitted by email no later than 30th September 2021, to Symposium@bcra.org.uk using the attached form. Presentation slots are not limited to those with a connection to the UK - this invitation is to all interested cave and karst scientists worldwide. We will accept presentations in person, or via. a digital connection.
