In pursuit of a quicker cup of tea at dig sites I have started to use a fast boil stove. A number of similar ones on the market although due to its prospective limited life I went for a cost efficient option (cheap). The one chosen was the “Blade Fast Boil” from Dutch Ovens costing £34.95 plus a few pounds P&P

The burner stores neatly within the water vessel and a handy carry bag. Just a case of unpacking attaching the gas cartridge turn on the gas and push the self-igniter and you get 750ml of boiling water in just over two minutes. One addition I made was a set of gas cartridge stabilising feet (£2.50).

Very well made and seems so far to be taking the knocks of digging trips.

Fast boil
Re: Fast boil
Present dig is a bit loose!
So a soothing tea is needed to relax the nerves
Happy after the soothing tea (stabilising the slope to the entrance).
