* BCRA Cave Science Symposium. Saturday 27 Nov 2021
===================================================

If you are planning on attending the 'live' meeting in Derbyshire on 27
November, we would be grateful if you could complete the Google form at
https://forms.gle/qaM6xa1UURZtKJcQ8 by the END OF OCTOBER. This is so we
can make arrangements for the evening meal and the field trips.
latecomers will be welcome at the meeting, but it does help for us to
have a rough idea of numbers in advance. Admission will be free and non-
members of BCRA are welcome.

If you are planning on attending via Zoom, please watch out
announcements in due course. Any last-minute essentials will be posted
to our Facebook page.

* BCRA AGM. Saturday 27 Nov 2021
================================

All the above info also applies to our AGM, which will take place during
a break in the Science Symposium at 12:00 to 13:00. Details about the
Zoom link will be posted to http://bcra.org.uk/agm a couple of weeks
before the event. The agenda papers are now all online.

* Volunteer needed to help with publications mailings
=====================================================

We are seeking a volunteer to join our Publications team (preferably by
the end of November 2021) to assist with the despatch of our books to
customers. The main tasks are i) holding stock, ii) packaging and
posting, iii) dealing with customs documentation, iv) ordering stock of
packaging. Please see https://bcra.org.uk/volunteer/

* Cave & Karst Science mailings
===============================

If anyone has not received their paper copy of C&KS vol 48(2), please
contact us, ESPECIALLY IF YOU LIVE OUTSIDE THE UK. As we have said,
there are difficulties with international postage at the moment, and we
have so far received little feedback regarding shipping difficulties.

... reminders from the last newsletter ...

* Back issues of C&KS and the CREG journal
==========================================

Back issues of Cave & Karst Science and the CREG journal are available
and we have a special offer to caving clubs, libraries and academic
institutions, who can fill any missing spaces in their collections for
free, although donations are always welcome of course.

Also, please note that individual members who join BCRA mid-year will,
generally, not be sent any back-issues of C&KS that they might be owed,
but which they didnt receive due to their late renewal. The reason for
this is just that it is an additional admin task to remember to check.
All you have to do, if you are missing issues from earlier in the year
is ask to have them sent to you.

* The Karst and Caves of Morecambe Bay by Phillip MURPHY (ed.)
==============================================================

This book has been available online and on paper for a couple of years.
The bibliography on page 137 of the book, taken from Ashmead's typed
notes, was incomplete. The missing material (a single page) is now
available as a download from https://bcra.org.uk/gen01
