BEC and Shepton Mallet Caving Club Bunkhouses at risk

Post by priddy » Wed 30 Apr 2008 21:10

Have you ever stayed at the BEC or Shepton Mallet Caving Club Bunkhouses in Priddy?

The Mendip Farmer's Hunt has recently bought a property right next to these 2 popular caving bunkhouses, planning to build kennels and a Flesh House. This will make staying there unbearable, with the hounds being woken up and fed at 5am each day and the smell of the Flesh house, which will attract rats and flies. This will jeopardise the viability of both bunkhouses and greatly reduce the revenues of the wonderful Hunter's Lodge.

Please take a look at http://www.priddy-canine.org.uk and pledge your support, submitting your email address so that you can be notified when planning permission is sought so that you can object to the Mendip Farmers' Hunt from moving into this beautiful area.
