Brian (Scoff) Schofield RIP

Post by AMW » Tue 15 Aug 2017 14:12

Sad news the long time CDG chairman (until he stood down in April) and stalwart of the CDG passed away on 12th, he will be much missed as a character as well as innovator within cave diving.

Have a look at: http://www.cavedivinggroup.org.uk/Essays/Scoff2.html :D

God speed Scoff and see you on the other side.

Andrew

Sad news indeed. He was taken far too soon.

The best talk I ever went to at Hidden Earth was given by Scoff and Dave Ryall about there cave diving exploits, serious in parts, hilarious in others.

My other favourite memory is a late night sing-song at the Bradford where Scoff lead the song, I can't remember the lyrics, where each time you sing the chorus you sing it in a higher voice. I was in stitches.

My thoughts go out to his family and friends.
