Swildon's Hole, Tratman's Temple path/tape

Anyone got any good reason(s) why Tratman's Temple in Swildon's Hole should not have a small amount of tape installed to delineate a path?
Recently cleaning off mud lead to the idea above.
There is plenty more cleaning which can successfully improve this stunning part of SH but there seems little point in going to the effort if mud is only going to be spread back again by people wandering off route.
