The honest answer is "we didn't go down the second pitch as we had no cause to; however, now the resin is fixed (i.e. from today) it should be pretty simple to safely rig a line for SRT to bomb down and have a look; are WCC ready to gate it at the water level?

Lateral Pitch is now bolted and it should be possible to visit the bottom of TLS via Perseverence Pot, Marble Streamway and Lateral Pitch; there are approach bolts for traverse rigging. Also bolted is Ledge Pitch although the furthest bolt has yet to be resined in (no bolt in situ, just a hole!).

If CC is to have a different lid to the one Frome CG fabricated, what's the possibility of the Frome CG lid being suitable for installation at Coral Cave (the present lid is no longer fit for purpose, being 12 million* years old)?

Is there a general guideline for geocaching? - a principle ought to be that geocaches should only be placed in locations which are safely reached by standard walkers equipped with their GPS devices; any location requiring specialist equipment or techniques should be ruled out of order.

A "proper cave" is something akin to GG, OFD, Peak Cavern, Otter Hole or Swildon's Cavern. Although I can see where this thread is going and I realise I made an error by using a divisive expression! Apologies offered.
