Re: underground communication using seismic waves

FTP problems on Britiac2 and Britiac3
If anyone is having problems using FTP on either of BCA's servers, from about 2100 on Thurs 09 Sept - try switching your FTP client from passive to active mode. That solved it for me and one other person. I dont know what's happened - I assume that as it happened on both servers, it is something Mem...

Re: Studies on the Ellora & Ajanta Caves (India)
A wired camera might be better. You pay out the cable as the small child explores, and the small child can follow the cable to find its way home. Otherwise, dont you have small child lost in maze that no adult can enter?

Re: PHP DIO module
Asking Google, (see here ) it seems that the error is because my files are not at C:\php, because XAMPP has put them somewhere else. Executing pear config-set doc_dir C:\xampp\php\pear pear config-set cfg_dir C:\xampp\php\pear pear config-set data_dir C:\xampp\php\pear pear config-set test_dir C:\xa...

Re: PHP DIO module
Have you checked the process has permission to create that directory? Well, I wondered about that, but this is Windows we're talking about, so can permissions be an issue? But I will try what you suggested. Although... perhaps permissions can be an issue after all? In an unrelated exercise, Im tryi...

I want to process a load of image files on britiac3 to produce thumbnails. Imagick seems a good way to do this, unless anyone has any better suggestions.
